The Empowering Woman Project

Last year around this time, I had launched this event. It was one I had always wanted to do. I was between jobs, so the financial aspect was at the forefront of it. Then I decided to reach out to Shauna Snippe who volunteered her photography and video skills to help my vision come to a reality. I can talk about this project for hours. So instead here is a little bit more on the project.  The Empowered Woman Project vision is all about women lifting women up in support of sharing and celebrating their stories through a photo shoot and videos.

The Empowered Woman Project mission is to share our stories. No matter what we have gone through or have struggled with. Or continue to work though. We can help end the stigma of letting other women know they are not alone. If one woman’s story can help another woman to feel a bit better about the situation they are facing. Then that message has served its purpose.

The Empowered Woman Project goals:
•       Share our story with as many women as possible through intimate events like the photo and video shoots
•       Sharing on our social media channels and engaging other women to share their stories through any visual and creative arts.
•       To have more small-medium events throughout the year to bring women together to celebrate ourselves

This project has always been in the back of my mind. It has always been a dream to do something like this and have it be successful. I know success looks and feels different for everyone. The doors are wide open to more as I grow this project from a one-day event to more. This is just the beginning.

Please note this is a project. It is not a registered business or charity, but I would eventually like it to be. So no monetary exchange has been done for this project. It’s all about women coming together.
